Mary Geraldine "Jerry" O'Bryan Schloegel

Mary G. Schloegel passed away peacefully on November 17, 2012. Jerry was born in Argentine, Kansas on November 12, 1914, and was married for 50 years to Frank ("Boots") Schloegel, II. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, a long- time parishioner at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, and an oblate of St. Benedict. Jerry attended Loretto Academy High School where she studied piano. After secretarial school, she spent many years as financial secretary at her husband's Southside Wood and Patio Company. Later she worked at her son's Kansas City Dental Care (KCDC) and Dental Care 50 (DC50) office. Jerry was active in many organizations including the Conference of Christians and Jews, the National and Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, Women in Community Service, and for 25 years the Ladies of Charity at Metropolitan Kansas City.

Jerry leaves behind three daughters, Mary Joyce (Robert) Kinast, Judy Ann (Neil) Wirts, and Jerry Marie Featherston; and one son, Frank (Michele) Schloegel III. Her extended family includes 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
