Born in Kansas City, MO, Mindy was the daughter of Judith LaJoan Ross and the late Johnie Marvin Mahaney. She grew up in Kansas City alongside her siblings Micah and Matthew Mahaney, Mary Wolfe, and later Siubhan Wilkerson, Sine Lake, and the late Colla Ross. She graduated from Southwest High School and soon after found her soulmate, Scott Jack, with whom she built a beautiful marriage of love, laughter, and partnership.
Mindy’s first and greatest calling was raising her family, and she cherished the years she spent as a devoted mom. She later worked as a corporate administrative assistant, where her organization, warmth, and loyalty made a lasting impact. In 2018, Mindy and Scott retired to their lakefront home in Camdenton, Missouri where they enjoyed boating, long walks with their dog Maverick, house projects, and time with family.
She was the beloved wife of Scott Jack, devoted mother to Megan (Scott) Hoar, Sarah (Matt) French, and Andrew (Sallee Gaelle) Jack, and the proudest grandma to ten grandchildren who were her joy: Hannah and Margot Hoar; Emersyn, Colbie, Weston, Adelaide, and Carter French; and Jonah, Holden, and Everett Jack.
Fiery in spirit yet tender in love, Mindy lived with honesty, loyalty, and faith. She loved God first and foremost and brought laughter and warmth wherever she went. She was known for her quick wit, her fun-loving nature, and her “bad call brick” when the Kansas City Chiefs’ referees needed reminding. She delighted in Hallmark movies, anything fall or Christmas, and crocheting beautiful keepsakes — especially for her grandchildren. Her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals, and her heart was always open to friends, family, and animals alike. Together with Scott, she supported local animal nonprofits and took countless hikes and walks with Maverick.

The family is deeply grateful for the love, support, and prayers extended during this time of loss.
