Metha was born August 21, 1977, in San Diego, California to Eldon Stanton and Beverly Joyce Cox. Metha graduated from North Kansas City High School and attended UMKC.
Metha was proceeded in death by his Mother, Beverly J. Cox, Grandparents; Albert and Edna Cox, Harold and Mabel Collins, Uncles; Bradley S. Collins and Billy G. Qualls, and his Cousin Rusty Clinton.
Metha is survived by his Four children who were the loves of his life; Vincent, Vito, Johnfrank, and Mia Cox. Father; Eldon S. Cox, Sisters; Heather (Terry) Phillips, Holly (Ronnie) Shelton. Godmother; Christeen Cardiff, Nieces; Allison M Phillips and Ella M. Phillips, Nephews Derek Robert Stanton Phillips and Bradley Stanton-Cox Shelton. His little buddy; Mahomes Cox, his miniature Schnauzer. And so many loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Metha worked in Produce Sales his entire adult life. He had a deep passion for the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. Sports were Metha’s favorite past time. From playing to coaching his own sons. Metha felt most comfortable on a field. For many years the only place you could find him was a baseball or football field screaming louder than any crowd. It would be hard to find a Father more proud of his children. Metha was proud to be the oldest Grandchild in the family, the only Son, and as he would say, the “Golden Child”. In his younger years, Metha was the front man of the backyard band, Masterfaces. The reigning champion of the Cox Family WWE wrestling matches. Growing up incredibly close, Metha was the fierce protector of his Baby Sisters. He was always one phone call away.
Metha lived his life without caution or reservation. He loved to be the life of every party, and always wore his heart on his sleeve. To know Metha was to love him and he will be missed dearly by us all. We rest a bit easier knowing Metha has been reunited with the first love of his life, his mother who passed away a few short months ago.
At Metha’s request there will be a private funeral held for the family.
