

Michael Dwayne Raimos, 60, of Independence, Missouri passed away June 4, 2006 with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, he has asked for donations in his honor to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
Mike was born January 4, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to Henry E. and Helen C. Raimos who preceded him in death. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He graduated from Westport High School in 1964. He loved bowling and has bowled since 1956. He bowled on several leagues the last 20 years at NKC Pro Bowl on Saturday night mixers. He was a welder for Tempmaster for many years, and also worked for Frederick Manufacturing until March, when his illness forced him to leave. Mike is survived by his wife Rhonda (Tina) Raimos of the home, his daughter Lori Raimos of Kansas City, Missouri; his stepdaughter Lisa Mackey of Independence, Missouri; stepsons Brandon and Neil Niederhauser and 4 step grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Call and her husband Dean of Overland Park, Kansas and Sandra Moran and her husband Bill of Gladstone, Missouri; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
