

Myra Stephenson Harreld passed away on May 16, 2010. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 24, at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home at 10507 Holmes Rd. Entombment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Raytown, Missouri. Myra lived in the Kansas City area all of her life. She worked in the offices of Pratt Whitney during World War II and was a mother and homemaker for 54 years. Myra was a member of Central Presbyterian Church for over 50 years where she was active in the women’s group, serving one term as president and as a member of the Women’s Board for many years. Myra was born on November 29, 1911, the daughter of Clarence Robert and Lela Stephenson, the original owners of Stephenson’s Apple Farm in Independence, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Harreld, to whom she was married for 54 years until his death in 1994. Myra was also preceded in death by her brother Norman Stephenson and his wife Frances of Kansas City, Missouri, by her brother Loyd Stephenson and his wife, Wanda, also of Kansas City and by her brother Leslie Stephenson of Venice, Florida. She is survived by her son, Craig Stephen Harreld of Kansas City, Missouri, by her sister Naomi Stephenson Morse of St. Petersburg, Florida and by her sister-in-law Mabel Stephenson of Venice, Florida.
