She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 20, 1952 and was a lifelong area resident. Nancy graduated from Southwest High School and Avila University.
She worked for the City of Leawood in the finance department for 37 years. Nancy was a dedicated volunteer for many causes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lyon and Jane (Shelden) Kelley.
Nancy is survived by her siblings, Ray S. James, David C. Kelley (Janice), Janet K. Kelley, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
