Oscar Frances Gean Lane fought the disease of depression as long as he could, finally succumbing to suicide on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015. He was born on Nov. 26, 1999 in Bremerton, Washington. His favorite colors were green and gray. At Central Kitsap High School and Shawnee Mission South High School he excelled in math and debate, and hoped to work in the medical field where he could help people.
He is survived by his mother, Jessica Sara Lane; father, Nicolas Robert Lane; brother, Pierce Benjamin Lane; sister, Vivian Rose Lane; maternal grandparents, Phoebe and Greg Eastman. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sylvia and Jim Lane.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W.
