Patricia Lorraine Arey

Rev 21:4 "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Pat departed this earth to be with her savior, Jesus Christ on March 24, 20024 surrounded by her family. Words cannot describe how much we loved her and will miss her.

Pat was born on March 12, 1939 in Grand Junction, Colorado to George Thomas Selover and Adne Lorraine (Hogan) Selover. Pat's father had a career with Missouri Pacific Railroad which moved the family from Denver, Colorado to Alexandria, Louisiana to New Orleans, Louisiana and finally to Raytown, Missouri before her the start of her Junior year in high school. She graduated from Raytown High School in 1957. She then attended and graduated from Central Missouri State University where she became a member of Tri Sigma. It was during her studies at CMSU that she met Kenneth Arey. They were married a year after graduation on Sept 1, 1962 until parted by death 61 years later. Over the next few years 2 children were added to the family, Chris and Stacy.

Pat enjoyed traveling the world and states with Ken, snow skiing and the mountains, wintering with the snowbirds in their RV and spending summer weekends at the Lake of the Ozarks with friends and family.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, George Thomas Selover and Adne Lorraine (Hogan) Selover; her son, Christopher Arey; and her sister, Joy A (Selover) Brown. She leaves behind her loving husband, Kenneth Arey, of the home; daughter, Stacy Bean; grandchildren Rachel (Trent) May, Andrew Arey and Paige Bean; great grandchildren Miley James and William Christopher May.

Visitation will be held at 10a.m., followed by service at 11a.m., on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Leawood Presbyterian Church, 2715 W 83rd St. Burial will be held at 12:30 at Newcomer's-Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, KC, MO
