She was born April 26, 1929 to Roy and Arline Behm in Kansas City, MO. As the eldest of five children, Patricia began her lifelong passion as a caregiver. After graduating from Bishop Hogan High School, she worked as an assistant to future Mayor H. Roe Bartle. In 1951, she married Lawrence Heinz and they lived in Overland Park, KS for 54 years until his death in 2005. Together they enjoyed family, church, travel and playing bridge with friends.
Patricia is survived by her seven children: Ron (Susan) Heinz of Bayview, TX; Rita Dahle of Overland Park, KS; Rick (Pam) Heinz of San Diego, CA; Kathey (Bob) Webster of Olathe, KS; Carol (Bruce) Keplinger of Leawood, KS; Ken (Patty) Heinz of Leawood, KS; and Chris (Susan) Heinz of Frisco, TX; 22 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Sue Wilcox of Kansas City, MO.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 24 at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 25 at Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th Street, Leawood, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
