

Patricia Ann Gould McFarland, 90, of Lee's Summit, MO, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, August 21st, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held on September 3rd, 2025, at Mount Moriah, Kansas City, Missouri, and burial following at Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee McFarland, her parents, Ira Eugene and Twanette Gould, her brothers Roy and George Gould, and her sister, Loretta Thompson.
Patricia was born the first of four children in Martinsville, Indiana. Following graduation from Martinsville High School in 1953, she attended Olivet Nazarene College in Kankakee, Illinois, until her return to Martinsville. There she met and married her Marine sweetheart, Richard Lee McFarland, on November 25, 1955.
Pat began her career for the Internal Revenue Service in 1954, where she worked her way to a branch manager. While working full-time in Kansas City, Patricia went back to complete her long-awaited college degree in 1990 at Mid-America Nazarene College, Olathe, Kansas, and earned the prestigious Eagle Award.
Upon retirement from the IRS, Patricia worked for the Nazarene Headquarters and Publishing House in Kansas City, Missouri. She loved being a part of the Nazarene church, collecting tea cups, learning calligraphy, donating time to the DAR, and especially spending time with her family.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Nonnemaker, and husband, Philip; three amazing grandchildren, Ryan (Julie), Jason (Kristen), and Elizabeth, all of Lee's Summit, MO, and her precious great-grandchildren, Harper, Owen, Claire, and Landon.
Despite being extremely busy during her careers, Pat never missed the opportunity to give generously of her time, her resources, and her boundless energy to help others. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Her family gives thanks to Princeton Memory Care of Lee's Summit, Missouri, for their love and care of Patricia throughout these last few years.
