Paul “Pete” Rawalt passed away April 15 at KU Medical Center. He was born May 16, 1942 in Denver, Colorado and raised during his youth and high school days in Manchester, Iowa on a farm. Pete was always an Iowa Hawkeye fan at heart. He married Betty “Betts” Louise Diercks on December 29, 1963. The Army days followed from 1963 to 1966 advancing him to the rank of 2nd Lt.
