Sorry to hear about Paul, I just learned how to use my phone. I remember him and Diane from school,he was a nice guy. Remember a little bit of the graduation party he had at his Dads. God bless you all.Doug Bennett 

I just recently found out that Paul had passed.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  Paul and I served together with the 3rd Marine Infantry Division.  He was the Staff Secretary while I was the Division ISMO.  We had a very good working relationship, I realy enjoyed knowing and serving with him.  I was very please when I ran into him when you moved to Raymore.  May he rest in peace, be aware that though belated, we share your grief.

Our most sincere condolences to Diane and all the family.  We have known Paul since elementary school and have remained friends ever since.  He will live on in all our hearts and thoughts even though his physical presence will be greatly missed.

I worked with Paul at the Bannister Complex and have known his sister Janet for many years.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  I hope your many fond memories help to comfort you during this difficult time.

Diane - Tom and I were so shocked and sorry to hear about Paul. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

My condolences to the family, especially to his daughters.  Your father and I used to compare notes on how our soccer teams would fare against each other.  Alas, better heads prevailed and we decided that the boys shouldn't play the girls.  (Although we were sure there was interest between the teams.)  I know your father will be missed by all of you.  But what always impressed me was his interest in his kids.

I received a call this morning that Paul had passed away.  I didn't know you Diane but I'm so sorry and sad.  I always heard he was just crazy about you.I remember drinking Kool-Aid with Paul at his house when I was a kid. He was a very kind person.  Another one of the Wm. Volker grade school kids. Such a loss of a great man!  I have known Paul since I arrived in KS to serve under him as a Marine in 1983.  I learned a lot from him.  We served in different capacities as we worked on the Marine Corps Pay and Personnel System over many years.  My deepest sympathies to Diane and the family!  Although I have not seen him for a few years have thought about those days when ever I go past the Bannister Complex!  Semper Fi Paul and God Speed.

Lori and I have know Paul since 1982.  He was my 1st CO, and I've been honored to call him a mentor, co-worker and friend. His compassionate demeanor and guidence will be missed on this earth. My thoughts and prayers are with you.  Even though I only knew Mr. Stahl for a couple of years I could see the love for his family and country everyday I spent with him.  He was an honorable man and always put other people above himself.  Cassie, Amanda, Lisa and Paul Michael I'll be thinking of you during this diffucult time.  He will be missed!

I forgot to sign my name to my message so I want Diane and family to know I'm praying for them in their time of sorrow. I knew Paul most of my life and it is a great loss of a great man.

To Dianne and family; I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Paul for a number of years at the Kansas City center.  He had an infectious smile and such a kind spirit.  We will miss our friend.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. I have known Paul a very long time - both as a Marine Officer and in his post retirement career. He has been a great friend through the years and I will miss working with him.

I worked very close with Paul at Sprint for years. He was great to work with and we had more fun together than you should be allowed to at work. We also spent time outside of work going fishing and hanging with our kids. Paul put more effort into everything he did and enjoyed spending time together. He will be missed but his impact on all the people around him are deep and will last forever. Semper Fi!

To say that Major Paul Stahl was a gentleman and a scholar is an understatement, as would to say that he was a peer because in the short time that I knew him he quickly became a mentor. His new friendship was a significant joy in my life. Our common bond was incidental in that we served as Marines for it was the love of our families that made the connection indelible. Though Paul and I shared a common interest in military history and a good story, an inference regarding either children or grandchildren would ignite that ever present sweet twinkle in his eye.
 
As a Marine officer Paul was instrumental in the evacuations of the U.S. military families from Panama that were evacuated before Operation Just Cause, I should know. My bride and I were one of the young couples impacted and for this, and many other details of his military service, I and others are in his debt.

Paul's stories of service, while a young officer in South Korea, intersected similar events that I would live a decade later. Paul, I'll miss your endearing vignettes. To the Stahl family, we share your grief and were honored by our association with this great man and gentle leader.

I attended Westport High School with Paul where we shared gym and shop classesw for about two years. Always had a smile for everyone. Condolences to the family and friends of Paul whom were blessed enough to have spent more time than I had with Paul.  Leon Collins, San Antonio, TX.

I am grateful for the life of Major (Ret.) Stahl.  Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.

I am Paul's Step- "Uncle "Dick" and the brother of Betty, Paul Robert's stepmother.  Paul was just 15 when he came into my life, along with the rest of the Stahl family.  I have been fortunate to have seen many of them grow from toddlers to adults and to see their families grow through the years, and always with a real closeness of family.   From the Beach parties, Fourth of July Parties and other events near Odessa MO to the countless Derby Day parties over the years, I am thankful to have been with all of you.   I have countless fond memories, many of Paul Robert.  I extend my deepest sympathy to all of his family and loved ones.  We will all miss him very much now, but we will all meet again……..

It's been many many years since Wm. Volker grade school and Westport High School that's how long I knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Diane. I'm so sorry.

I am sorry I can't be there to pay my respects. I am out of state .  I took Paul Robert kindergarten at Franklin School from his grandmothers house on the West Side. I was paid fifty cents a week. Paul gave my Dad (Buss) a book a few years back.  Part of the inscription mentioned how close the Stahls and Medleys have been for many years.I will be saying a prayer for comfort for all your family.

Dad, we miss you more than words can describe.  You are one of the good ones.  I love you.

I worked with Paul for the last 2 years. He was one of the kindest men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

In this picture he looks so much like Grandpa Stahl. Uncle Paul will be missed by all that loved him. I will miss him dearly. Aunt Paula, Diane, Cassie, Mandy and the rest of the family take care of each other. Love to you all.
