Paula F. Lara

Paula F. Lara, 68, of Kansas City, MO passed away April 12th, 2017. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wed. April 19th at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd KCMO. The memorial service will follow at 11:00. Online condolences may be offered at www.mcgilleymidtownchapel.com

Paula was born on December 3rd, 1948 in Kansas City, MO to Frank and Delores Galvan. For 25 yrs. Paula was employed with the Social Security Administration as a secretary. After retirement, Paula worked as a temp at the KC Water Dept. Then she stayed home to care for her twin grandkids, Alexia and Antonio. Paula loved going out on the weekends, listening to Mexican music and just having a good time. She loved spending time with her grandkids, going out to eat every Friday and Saturday morning, going to the casinos and watching her TV shows. Survivors include; her husband Gustavo Lara; son Juan D. Lara; daughters Lisa Carrete (Ralph) and Rebecca Mendez (Juan); brothers Frank Galvan Jr. and Damian Galvan (Nancy); sisters Rita Williams (Jerry) and Rebecca Foster; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a large extended family and many friends. Paula is preceded in death by her parents.
