Paula was born on October 22nd, 1953 to Martha Ann Thomas and Paul Edward Thomas. Paula worked for James B. Nutter and Company for 8 years before venturing out and opening her own restaurant. She opened The Family Cabin in July of 1992. It continues to thrive today and even though she is gone, her memory will forever remain the heart and soul of The Family Cabin. The restaurant where people come in as strangers and leave as family.
Paula had a great personality and caring spirit. She helped many people and became a “Mother” like figure to everyone who needed her. Paula loved to be surrounded by those she loved; hosting pool parties, Holiday gatherings, and of course her late husband Willie’s family.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband Robert (“Willie”) David Williams, father Paul Edward Thomas, and step-father Louie Robert Romi, Jr. She is survived by her mother Martha Romi, sister Cathy Hulbert, brothers Mark (Susan) Thomas and Doug (Angel) Romi, numerous nieces and nephews, a few great-nieces and nephews, and many treasured friends.
