Pauline Ranallo Privitera, 92, Overland Park, KS, passed away June 23, 2015 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS. Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday prior to service. Private entombment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Drive, Memphis, TN 38105.
Mrs. Privitera was born January 29, 1923 in Kansas City, MO. She was a 1940 graduate of St. Aloysius Academy. She married her husband, Phil, in 1953 and enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Pauline was a proud employee of TWA for over 30 years retiring in 1986. She loved to travel and was able to see the world. She was a member of Cure of Ars Catholic Church since 1969.
Pauline was a remarkable woman who will be remembered for her love of family, Sunday dinners, Catholic faith, and her grit and determination to live independently to the very end.
She was preceded in death by her husband Phil in 2006. Pauline is survived by her daughter Rosemary Edell (Eric); sons Joe Privitera (Nikki) and Michael (Kelly); sisters Marie Sprofera and Patricia Cirese; six grandchildren Kate, Anna, Amanda, Emily, Mary and Luke; extended family and friends.
