

He was surrounded by love at birth, throughout his life and into death.
Pete was active in the community of developmental disabilities, graduating from Lakewood School.
He was active in the Special Olympics, participating in bowling and swimming, and he was on the Exceptionals softball team. He also participated in summer camps and skiing for the visually impaired in Colorado. He loved cheering on the Chiefs and listening to the Royals on the radio.
Pete grew up in Prairie Village, was part of the large neighborhood crowd and could be found sitting front and center at the jukebox playing all the favorite 70s hits for all the neighborhood kids.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rosemary E. Faubion and Rollo L. Faubion Jr, and his sister Aimee S. Faubion.
He is survived by his siblings Lindsey Wolf (Bill), Sally Roberts (Nick), Helen Faubion, Melissa Excell (Greg), Dan Faubion (Lisa), and Mary Arling (Marty).
Pete also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, who all love him.
The family would like to thank all those that served him and offered him care, including Harmony House, Nova, Firefly Residential and Employment Services, and St. Luke’s Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest donations in Pete’s name to the Special Olympics.
A visitation for Pete will begin at 12:00 PM, Rosary at 12:30 PM and a Funeral Mass immediately following at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 28th at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 14251 Nall Avenue, Leawood, KS 66223. A celebration of life reception will immediately follow at Fontainebleau Clubhouse located at 12701 Grandview Street, Overland Park, KS 66213.
