Phillip William James Sr., age 28, of Kansas City, MO, was born on May 8th, 1991 to Latoinia Lane (deceased) and Willie T. Moore. He was adopted at age 8. At 18 he obtained his GED and soon after got certified in the Forklift and Welding trade.
At the age of 27, Phillip became his own BOSS and started his own lawn care service, “Phil Lines Lawn Care, LLC”, were he was just awarded a major snow removal contract for the upcoming winter.
Phillip was a Master of all trades and had many names to go with them. In the kitchen he was known as “Chef OG”; he was a great cook that loved being in the kitchen and creating new dishes for his family. His signature dish was smoked Oxtails and his famous Baked Potato Salad! At home he was known as “Daddy Boss” to his two beautiful boys, 4 year old Phillip W. James Jr. "PJ", and 3 month old Phenix A. James as well as the love of his life, Nikisha Crosdale.
Phillip was a hard worker, a provider and best of all he was a family man. He worked day and night to not only provide for his family but to be the best role model he knew how to be for his sons. His goal in life was to not have to work for anyone else by the age of 30 and pass down his businesses to his boys so they could do the same. With his work ethics, it was no doubt that he would have reached that goal easily.
Phillip was the life of any party and loved to have fun and make people laugh. He was taken way too soon but the impact he had on the lives around him will live forever in the many positive memories his family and friends have to hold on to.
He leaves behind his high school love and mother of his children, Nikisha Crosdale, his two greatest accomplishments and legacy, Phillip W. James Jr. "PJ" and Phenix A. James, his only sister Latisha James, 3 older brothers Stacy Moore, Dante Lane, and Roger Lane, Nieces, Nephews, and a host of family who loved him as their own.
