Phyllis Ranell Nash (Ranell) passed away suddenly at home 04/30/2023 at the age of 73. She was greeted by her mom Dorothy, dad Bill, brother Richie and husband Jim. She leaves a hole in the hearts of 2 Fur babies missy and spanky, daughter Kim (Derrick), granddaughter Shakaela (Terry), great granddaughter Raelyn aka Tootie, her bestie Amber and countless other friends.
She had a long career at research medical center in the physical therapy department but was well known throughout the hospital.
Her life's dream was to retire and live at Truman Lake which she accomplished and enjoyed to the very end.
Our Mom/Nanny (nah-knee) had a very special gift of gab. This gift to her could be a curse to others due to it would slow a shopping trip, card game or just about anything. The special part of this gift is she never met a stranger and with the first conversation you would know you have a friend for life.
She had a lot of interests like fishing, flowers/plants, crafting, playing cards and the biggest one was a collector/finder of many hidden treasures even when we couldn't see the treasure in most of it. The conversations about these treasures normally finished with " I was gonna make a fountain". That is a saying that will always make us laugh and n
o the fountains were never completed/started. As many of those who loved her will miss the quick wit she had and a style that was all her own.
Her wishes were to be cremated and not have a funeral service to protect her girls from the extreme sadness she knew it would cause. We will be having a celebration of her life in the future when the shock of the loss has lessened.
In the meantime, we would love to hear all about the ways she touched your life or even just a funny story you may have.
