

Mr. Ralph Aldridge, Sr. was born to Wash and Pearline Aldridge on July 6, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri. He passed away December 15, 2014. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Masonic service at 9:30 a.m. and services at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Cleveland Avenue Baptist Church, 2853 Cleveland Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64128.
The family relocated to Birdeye, Arkansas where Ralph completed his early education graduating from high school at the age 16 with honors. He returned to Kansas City and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served his country until his mother became ill and he received an honorable discharge to care for his mother. He joined the General Motors Assembly plant and after 36 years he retired in 2001.
Ralph and Dorothy (Morehead) Aldridge eloped on February 11, 1970 to Miami, Oklahoma where they were joined in holy matrimony. To this union children were born Ralph Aldridge, Jr. and Joyelle Anderson.
Ralph was a faithful member of Cleveland Avenue Baptist Church serving in the Spirit of Praise Choir. He willingly shared his expertise with carpentry around the church and helping friends.
Ralph was very active in several organizations. He was a Past Master of Widow Son’s Masonic Lodge No. 17; Vulture Motor Cycle Club where he served as secretary; and was a member of the Rooster CB Channel Jumpers.
His parents and eleven siblings preceded him in death: Beatrice Skains, Ann Holliday, Doris Cooper, Claudette Townsel, Pearl Laster, Erma Armstrong, Lula Aldridge, Sonny B. Aldridge, Fred Aldridge, Ernest Aldridge, and James Aldridge. And he leaves to mourn his death his loving wife, Dorothy; son, Ralph Junior (Mitrekenya) Aldridge of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Joyelle (Brian) Anderson and grandson, Mason of Kansas City; God son, Carlton McDaniel; God daughters, Dara Watkins and Nikki; sister, Evelyn (Clinton) Youngman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
