

Ralph “Terry” Ojeda, 58 of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully March 15, 2017 at St. Luke’ Hospice House surrounded by his family and loved ones. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Sacred Heart/Our Lady of Guadalupe, 2544 Madison, KCMO. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, KCK. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday, March 21 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd., KCMO
Terry was born October 29, 1958 in Kansas City, MO to Joseph and Juanita Ojeda, who preceded him in death, along with brothers Johnny Ojeda and Augustine “Gus” Ojeda and niece Lisa Ojeda Moreno. Ralph Terry leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Angela Ojeda; daughters Jetta Ojeda and Angie Ojeda (Michael) of the home; sons Ralph Ojeda, Francisco (Adriana), Vicente (Brenda) and Johnny Ojeda (Renee); three granddaughters, Alicia, Marina and Natalie; one grandson, Louie; three sisters Porfiria Sandoval, Mary Ojeda and Patricia Ojeda; one brother, Joseph Ojeda, Jr. (Stella) and many nieces and nephews who will always love him and cherish his memory.
Ralph Terry was a lifelong resident of the West Side part of Kansas City where the older generation knew him as Coach Ralph. Coach Ralph stuck with him because he loved coaching boys and girls T-Ball and Baseball for the neighborhood gym at Sacred Heart. Ralph worked at Brinkman as a flashlight manufacturer before working at Stuart Hall as a paper cutter.
Ralph Terry was a man who let his presence be known upon entering a room with a smile on his face. He was never a quiet man, he was always interactive whether you were a friend he hadn’t seen in forever or a family member who came into town, he always had his door open for them.
