Ray Weatherbee, 94, of Independence, MO passed away May 22, 2017. Ray worked for Dean Machinery for 63 years, retiring as a Corporate Officer. He was a Rotary Club member as well as an active member of the Church of Christ, where he served as Deacon. Ray was an avid handball player and also enjoyed golfing and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Jane, of 72 years; daughter Gayle Miller (Tommy); grandchildren Nate Ziegler (Raechel) and Laya Miller; great-grandchildren Brodi and Brantli Ziegler.
Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:00 am followed by a Funeral service at 11:00 am Friday, May 26 at Mount Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Great Plains SPCA.
