He was born December 4th, 1940 in Winnfield, LA and grew up in Hoisington, KS.
He graduated from Emporia State University in 1963, served in the Army National Guard for six years, and worked as a manager in the Social Security Administration for 30 years. He met his wife Dixie (Davis) there in 1964, and they were married for 60 years.
Ray was an avid golfer, and enjoyed coaching Little League baseball with his boys.
He was a friend to everyone he met, and deeply loved and missed by family, friends, and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife Dixie, sons Steve and Brian, and grandchildren Quinn, Tyson, and Grace.
