Rebecca Estelle Degenhardt Phillips, 87, of North Kansas City, passed away November 15, 2013 at home from natural causes. Her funeral service will be 2:00pm, Wednesday, November 20th with visitation one hour prior at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Chapel, at 801 NW 108th Street, KCMO with burial to follow service. Rebecca was born October 18th, 1926 in Fort Riley, Kansas. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a good Christian and a longtime member of Gashland Presbyterian Church. She was a school teacher retired from Platte County R-III. She is survived by her three sons, Trey, Mark and Kurt Degenhardt; five grandsons, Alexander, Jeffrey, Austin, Christopher and Nicholas Degenhardt; granddaughter, Courtney and daughter-in-law, Shannon Degenhardt, who was also her primary caregiver for the last four years.
