Richard Lewis Lee

He was born September 16, 1937 to the union of Charlie B. Miles and Jordan Lee in Eudora, Arkansas. He passed this life at The Parkway Health Rehab Center, after a long illness. Both parents, six brothers: Samuel Atkins, Thomas Kirkendolph, John Kirkendolph, James lee, William Singleton and Clarence Lee preceded him in death; five sisters: Louvenia Scott-Bell, Magnolia Wooten, Ella Gaskin, Odella Watson and Bessie Lee.

Richard attended East Elementary and High School in Eudora, Arkansas; graduated in 1958; and later moved to Kansas City, Missouri.

He accepted Christ as his Savior in 1956 in Eudora. He was an active member of The Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 1963; where he served in the choir, ushers, trustee ministries and a faithful member of the Delightful group.

He was married to Thelma Lee and from that union Stacey Lee was born. He was also married to Ethel Fulbright. He was a loving and caring person; who enjoyed laughing as well as making others laugh. He worked at the Bendix Plant and for an Auto Auction.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his children: Brenda Williams, Eudora, Arkansas, Stacey Lee Carroll, Iowa, Angela Lee & Peter Uwaeke, Kansas City, Missouri, and Rickey Lee, Eudora; nine sisters: Bessie Buchanan, Alma White (Leonard), Gertrude Williams, Irma Palmer (General), Altha Trotter (Howard), Shirley Hudson (Eddie), Dorothy Rouser, Margaret Wilson, Ruthie Thomas; four brothers: Robert Royal (Jerri), Jordan Lee (Margaret), Robert Lee, and Jerry Lee; a close friend: Bobby Foster; and a host of other family members, extended members, friends and extended family.

Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, at The Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4600 Cleveland Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri, with Rev. Joseph Fletcher officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 30, at Mt.
