Richard L. Stamper, 71, of Meriden, KS passed away January 28, 2018. Services will be held at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel, 11924 E. 47th St., Kansas City, MO 64133, on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Visitation from 10-11am and service beginning at 11am. Interment at a later date.
Richard was beloved husband of Maureen (nee Grady), loving father of Louise Lane, Josiah and Justin. Devoted grandfather of Joel Stamper, Shiloh, Calvin, Izadora, and Izaak Lane. Loving brother of Robert (Kathy), Floyd (Diane), Paul (Carol), and Joyce (Bob) Callahan. Preceded in death by parents Thornton and Ruth Stamper, sister Jean, and grandson Rayme Tenorio. Will be missed by eldest daughter Julie Tenorio and her children. Will also be missed by his in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
Richard proudly served in the Navy. He enjoyed painting and spending time with his grandchildren. He spent time each day reading and studying the bible. He enjoyed attending church at Evangelistic Christian Center and will be missed by the congregation.
