

Robert Claude Enslow, 72, Prairie Village, Kansas passed away peacefully October 11, 2014 at his home. A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Visitation will be Friday, October 17, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Masonic service. Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, c/o Ararat Shrine Temple, 5100 Ararat Drive, Kansas City, Missouri 64129.
Bob was born July 17, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri to Claude and Dorothy Enslow. He graduated from Southwest High School in 1960 and attended Baker University and the University of Kansas.
Bob, 32nd degree KCCH, was a member of Country Club Lodge # 656, a member of the Scottish Rite, where he was Chairman of the Sound Committee for 13 years and a member of the Ararat Temple. Bob was a member and past president of the Royal Order of the D.U.C.K.S. of Kansas City, Missouri. He was a past member and Dad Advisor of Mother Chapter Order of DeMolay, Kansas City, Missouri.
Bob spent his professional career in electronic service and installation. He was a member of Village Presbyterian Church.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws J.W. and Agnes Scott. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean of the home. Also surviving are daughter Wendy Enslow and her husband Tony Maddex; son David Enslow and his wife Rebecca and grandchildren Shannon Lynne and Adam Michael Claude, and yet to be born Isaac David; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Pete Forrester; in-laws Marylyn and Luther Wade; two nieces, five nephews, cousins, aunts, and friends.
Bob was known for his endless supply of jokes and always being in an upbeat mood in spite of his long illness. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
