Robert L. Harrison, 64, Independence, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2012. Bob was born April 19, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Gene and Edith (Wright) Harrison. He was survived by his wife, Janet, and stepchildren, Michael Bramel and Melissa Taylor and her husband Jamie. Bob has a brother, Ron Harrison, and a sister-in-law, Karen Harrison, and his two nephews, Bryan and Craig Harrison. Bob was a graduate of Center High School and received a BS in Journalism from the University of Kansas. He retired after 30 years of service from KCP&L in July 2006 where he spent most of his career as a Customer Service/Sales Representative. Bob was an avid Jayhawk fan. He loved to play golf and spend time with family, friends and “Board” members. In recent years he would come in a close second in fantasy football. Services will be held at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 21. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m.; burial in Belton Cemetery.
