He graduated from Southeast High School in 1948. Following his graduation from Kansas State and the New York Institution of Finance, he served time in the U.S. Naval Air Force during the Korean war. He then spent his entire life in the securities business, ultimately as a senior partner at a regional brokerage firm.
He was very proud of his Masonic history as a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite and as a member of the Ararat Shrine where he served as the Director of the Greeters Unit and was honored to be a member of the Royal Order of Jesters, Court 54. He served as president of the board of Trinity Lutheran Hospital and a member of the American Legion Post Number 21 for 35 years.
He is survived by three daughters Mary, Victoria, Elizabeth and son Bobby from his first marriage and five stepchildren Debbie, Penny, Kim, Marianne, Rachel and two stepsons Ronnie and (Joey), deceased, from his second marriage. Many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren also significant other, Jeri.
Had a wonderful life and told a lot of jokes.
