

Robert Maxfield Neubert, 92, Lenexa, passed away at home of natural causes September 25, 2010 surrounded by his beloved family. The son of Maxfield Kurt Neubert and Gladys Hunter Neubert, he was born April 20, 1918 at home, Kansas City, Missouri. He was a graduate of Westport High School and attended the KC Art Institute on scholarship. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as Staff Sgt. He was employed in the Art department at The KC Star where he met his future wife Helen Linder. As an U.S. Army Air Force Reservist, he was recalled for duty to the Korean Conflict. He then went to work for Allied Signal (Bendix) in the Model Shop of the Engineering department where he worked 31 years. Robert was a loyal member of Legacy Christian church. He was preceded in death by his first-born son, Lynn Bruce Neubert, in 1975. He is survived by his wife of 60 years; his brother, Billy Neubert and wife Betty; daughter, Karen and husband Tom Vandeputte; granddaughter, Megan and husband Kennie Rodgers; son, David Neubert; son, John Neubert; grandson, Jeremiah Krumm, granddaughter, Micaelee Neubert, and their mother Jewl Krumm. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 30, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South.
