Robert “Bob” Michael Shaw, 63, Kansas City North, passed away unexpectedly November 28, 2019. Memorial services are 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 11th, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel; inurnment will be in Leavenworth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Heart Association or Midwest Transplant Network are appreciated.
Bob was born January 6, 1956 to Merle Clark Shaw and Winifred Jean (Gibson) Shaw in Santa Monica, CA. He lived many years in the high desert area of California. Bob was a 1974 graduate of Tustin High School. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and served two years in Germany. Upon returning to California, he went to college and eventually worked for Frito Lay retiring in 2018. He reunited with his high school sweetheart, Janell Johnson-Huskey. They returned to Missouri in March of 2019 and were married April 27, 2019. Bob and Janell enjoyed traveling, golfing, riding his Harley, attending sporting events and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Janell; a sister, Linda and her husband, Dana Morrison of Yucca Valley, CA; a step-daughter, Kate Huskey and her fiancé Andrew Wilburn; and numerous close friends who were more like family.
