Robert “Rob” Roy Stines, age 88 of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at the KC Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri on Friday, March 28, 2025. He was born November 1, 1936, to George Stines and Clara Lambeth in Kansas City, Kansas.
He hired on with TWA in 1964 and worked for them as a mechanic for over 20 years and has been to 48 states and 24 different countries. He also loved to race cars back in the late 1950’s and 60’s at various Speedways where he won several 1st place trophies. Once retired, he enjoyed towing and hauling cars and spending time with his family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, George, Clara, and brother, Duane, and numerous relatives and friends. He is survived by his loving Wife, Diane Stines of 50 years and his daughter, Memori and son-in law James, his son, Robbie, stepson Dean and numerous loving relatives and friends including his Niece, Angelic and nephew, Tony who considered him like a dad to them. Robert was known as a loving, kind-hearted, and the most generous person you will ever know and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
