Roger Lee Gevens

He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior while at the City Union Mission.

Roger, the youngest of five children was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He was raised and attended school in Kansas City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Sally Gevens; maternal grandparents, Rudolph and Mae Krska; paternal grandparents, Jacob and Lydia Gevens; several aunts and uncles and a nephew, Jacob Marsh.

Roger is survived by a brother and three sisters: Robert (Norsy) Gevens, Barbara Holmes, Chery (Sam) Osterloh and Carol (Randy) Marsh; and many beloved family members and friends.

Roger was a gifted carpenter, knife maker and enjoyed all things technical and mechanical. He was kind, very loved and will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 26 at Red Bridge Baptist Church, 4901 East Red Bridge Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64137.
