Ron is survived by his wife, Peggy, son Ryan and daughter-in-law Anya, daughter Allison, and son Tanner; grandchildren Thomas, Hayden, Mia, Makenna, Rocco, and Nicco; stepmother Ruth, and brother Mickey Holmes (Jody). His parents, Geraldine and Thomas Welch, preceded him in death.
Ron proudly served his country and started his family while in the Air Force. He was known for his strong work ethic and had a lifelong career in the automotive industry ranging from sales to ownership.
Ron loved to entertain, cook, watch sports, and travel. Ron was known for his larger-than-life personality and contagious laugh. He was a loyal family man and friend, and devout Catholic.
Visitation services are 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 29, at McGilley State Line Chapel, Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Marks Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd, Independence, MO., at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 30.
