

Mrs. Rose J. Didde, 89, of Kansas City, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at St. Joseph Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 21, 1920, to Henry and Theresa Hund of Leavenworth, Kan., the youngest of nine children. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, preceded by a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena, 4101 E. 105th Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64137. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1011 N. Desoto Rd., Lansing, Kan. Rose was a homemaker who loved her children and grandchildren and by her example taught them to show compassion and kindness to others. She loved animals and working outside in her flowers. She spent many hours crocheting beautiful doilies which she proudly gave away. Rose is preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters, son, Dennis Didde and his wife Lucy, and one great grandson, Ethan Hoskins. Survivors include her beloved husband of 70 years, George L. Didde, her children, Cosby (Ray) Fulton and Georgia (Gerry) Auckly of Kansas City, and Diane (Danny) Owen of Springfield Ill.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
