Rose Ann Sims

A visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 19th, with the funeral service at 1:00 PM, at the New Hope Church of the Nazarene, 4330 N Oak Trfwy, Kansas City, MO, 64116; entombment in Terrace Park Cemetery. Following services a Celebration of Life will be held at her daughter, Melanie Critchfield’s home. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Rose Ann was born November 1, 1952 in Kansas City, MO to Olan and Rose (Blankenship) Thrasher. She was a graduate of East High School. Rose Ann was a volunteer for Metropolitan Lutheran Ministry, 1100 NE Vivion Rd, Kansas City, MO 64118. She was an active member and volunteer of New Hope Church of the Nazarene. Rose Ann enjoyed fishing with her husband Ray, as well as getting her hands dirty in the garden. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Rose Ann was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Robert Thrasher.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Sims; daughter, Melanie Critchfield; sons, Michael Daniels and Marcus Daniels; grandchildren, Madison Daniels, Jasmine Daniels, Jordan Daniels, Emma Critchfield, of Kansas City, MO, Christian Daniels, Oklahoma City, OK, Ethan Daniels, Lucas Critchfield, Lexi Daniels, of Kansas City, MO.
