Rosemary was born November 3, 1924 to Peter and Mary Schwalje. She graduated from Central High School. She had a zest for life and enjoyed golf, bridge, bingo, walking and all family and friend gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Bill Wolak. She was a member of the Church of the Nativity, Leawood, Kansas.
Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law. Mary Ann and Gary West of Leawood and Diane and Dick Waers of Prairie Village, her three grandchildren and their spouses: Ryan and Ann West of Olathe, Jennifer and Brad Richardson of Overland Park and Kate and Dan Barnes of Chicago and 6 great-grandchildren: Lucas, Morgan, Allison Rose, Jack, Issabelle and Samantha.
The family wishes to thank all the caregivers of Brookdale for their years of kindness and care.
