Ruby was born in Kansas and lived in the Kansas City area most of her life. She worked as a secretary for Burns and McDonnell for 25 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Lee’s Summit. Ruby enjoyed sewing, crafts, puzzles, playing cards and reading. She also enjoyed traveling, with Hawaii being her favorite destination.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Blair, a son, Patrick Blair and a brother, Ronnie Baker. Surviving relatives include a daughter, Janet Eisman (Steve), two granddaughters, Kristie Kupka (John) and Stacy Burbidge (Ted), four great grandchildren, Alexander, Jonathan, Brooke and Danielle; and two sisters, Opal Leigh and Jonnie Rhea.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for contributions to be made to the American Heart Association or Grace Baptist Church in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
