Ruth S. Harris, 91, passed away December 30, 2012 at Village Shalom in Overland Park, Kansas. She was born on June 23, 1921 in Newburg, New York and was married to Montague Harris at Camp White in Oregon on December 13, 1942. Ruth loved music, knitting, counted cross stitch, bird watching, and nature.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Montague Harris, sister Katherine “Rusty” Vandervort, and brother William Scheumann. She is survived by Gregory L. Harris (Mariann/Deede), Victoria J. Pasko (Jack), Patricia E. Harris (Phillip Hott), five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be in the spring of 2013 at Friends Cemetery in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
