

Ruth A. (Collier) Wieners was born August 19, 1929, on what her parents, Emery Dodge and Mary Etta, claimed was the hottest day in Goodland, KS. She passed away Sunday the 14th of September in the early morning at home as she wished.
Ruth eventually left Goodland, KS and ended up in Waynesville, Mo, where she met her true love, Howard Wieners. They married and began their family together. Juliah Atkinson (deceased), Dennis Wieners (Willene) of Oak Grove, MO, David Wieners (Peggy) of Blue Springs, MO. Ruth was a charter member of New Hope Christian Church. She taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She worked for over 20 years with Lone Jack School District as a cook kitchen manager until retiring in 1994 when they relocated back to the city.
When you think of Ruth, you think of family, faith and fun. She has asked that you don’t dress up for her service. Wear what makes you comfortable, shorts, t-shirt, comfort, etc.
Ruth was preceded in death by her two parents, her husband, daughter, six brothers, one sister, four grandsons, and one great granddaughter.
She is survived by her two sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandsons, countless nieces and nephews that love her.

A visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133, on September 18, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on September 19, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A graveside service will follow at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens, located at 25203 E US Highway 50, Lees Summit, MO 64086, on September 19, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
