Ruth Caroline Wurdeman

Ruth was born on May 26, 1923, in Lincoln, Missouri. On December 5, 1947, she married Albert Wurdeman at Calvary Lutheran Church in Kansas City, Missouri.

Ruth loved to read and worked many years as assistant librarian at the Raytown branch of Mid-Continent Public Library. Ruth was very devoted to her Lord and was a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church in Kansas City, Missouri. Here she used her knowledge as a librarian to enhance the church library and was involved in many activities including Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, quilting circle, and couples club.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Wurdeman, her son, Bruce Wurdeman, her granddaughter, Emily Busse, and her great grandson, Alex Reeds.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Diane (Chuck) Strohacker, and Debbie (Wayne) Busse, her daughter-in-law, Mj Wurdeman, her 7 grandchildren, Jeni (Andy) Welsh, Cathy(Jason) Smith

C.J. (Courtney) Strohacker Jr., Adam (Kelli) Wurdeman, Phil (Stacey) Wurdeman, Abi (Peter Tran) Wurdeman, and Jen (Chris) Hunt, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 3, at 11:30 with visitation beginning at 10:30 prior to the service. Burial will be at Floral Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
