Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, October 17th at Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City, MO where he will be laid to rest with his mother, Janell Griffin. Due to the Covid19 Pandemic, the family asks that all attendees wear a face covering and practice social distancing. For those unable to attend or uncomfortable with attending, the service will be Live Streamed at the Facebook of McGilley Antioch Chapel by clicking the link below at service time. Ryan was born July 9, 1978 in North Kansas City, MO. He attended Oak Park High School class of 1997. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1999-2002 as an IC3 aboard the USS John F Kennedy. Most recently Ryan worked for Midas Automotive where he began as a technician and advanced to store manager. He was a passionate KC Royals and Chief’s fan. Some of his happiest memories were celebrating their recent World Series and Super Bowl championships. Ryan was a kind, thoughtful, and loyal friend to many.
Ryan was preceded in death by his mother, Janell Bradshaw Griffin. Survivors include his father, Rick Griffin and step-mother, Rita; a sister, Kym Griffin Ackerman and husband, Matt; two nieces he adored, Madison and Peyton Ackerman; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
