Obituario de Sally Jo "Jodi" Ruisinger
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home & Floral Hills Cemetery

Sally Jo (Jodi) Ruisinger, 90, of Raytown, Mo. passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023. Jodi was born on May 6, 1933 in Kansas City, MO to Dusty and Doris Hodges. Jodi was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and had an extensive list of friends who felt like family. She lived most of her life in Raytown, and attended Raytown High School and later Missouri Valley College. She was a talented painter and sang for several years in Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to garden. But her real hobby passion was her antiques. She has always loved any kind of antique you could think of. Being an expert on most every old thing you could ask her about, she was genuinely excited to share what she knew about a particular item. She had such a positive outlook on life and a wonderful sense of humor that everyone loved. When you engaged with her, you would usually experience lots of big laughter, joking and smiles from her, all which were arguably her best attributes. She was a great, compassionate listener to us all, and was not judgemental when you came to her with a problem. But the things that brought her the most joy in life were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jodi worked in the banking industry, most notably at Laurel Bank where she met her late husband, Charlie. Starting as the receptionist, she progressed through more responsible positions through the years. It was the perfect setting for her because she was intelligent, pleasant and just loved to interact with people so much. She was the ideal employee for any bank with lots of customers.

Jodi was preceded in death by her parents, Dusty and Doris, and her husband Charles A. Ruisinger. She is survived by her sons, Kevin Snodgrass (Barrie), of San Jose, Ca. and Kirk Snodgrass of Raytown, and daughter Lisa McCann (Doug) of Excelsior Springs, grandchildren Kacey Zuvella (Shane) of Larkspur, Ca., Corey Snodgrass of San Francisco, Ca., Alex Snodgrass (Alex Lynch) of Greenwood, Mo., Tori McCann of Independence, Andi Hellyer (Brandon) of Excelsior Springs, and seven great grandchildren.

A private service will be held in Kansas City where she will be buried.
