Sandra Olson Moore passed away on September 18, 2025. Sandy was the oldest daughter of Harold and Hazel Thomas Olson; she had a sister, Becky, and two brothers, Keith and Robert. On October 4, 1947, the family was involved in a car/train accident that killed everyone except for Sandy. She was 6 1/2 years old. She went to live with her Aunt Fern and Uncle Don Zellers. They had one son, James. On July 2, 1959, Sandy married James Stamps. They were divorced August 6, 1976.
On May 23, 1981, Sandy married Wilson Moore, who passed away in 2015. Sandy was a member of the Greater KC Quilters Guild and was their president in year 1995 and 1996. After working several years in different businesses, she decided to start her own catering business and worked for 13 years until she needed take over Wilson’s business. Finally, after 61 years working, she retired. Sandy was a member of Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church where she was an elder and treasurer for many years.
Sandy leaves behind many family and friends, including her cousins Ruth and Becky, and her beloved little dog Muffin. Memorial gifts may be made to Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church and Wayside Waifs.
