Sarah Elizabeth Taxman, 59, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, died at her home on January 15, 2012. She was the daughter of Eugene and Betty Taxman and is survived by many cousins and friends. After graduating from Goucher College with an undergraduate degree in art history, she worked at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and then opened Kiosk Fine Posters. She was also a part owner of Classic Cards in Westport. She was known for her extraordinary knowledge of and passion for the arts, particularly the performing arts, from Fred Astaire to Montserrat Caballe. She was the Opera Lady on KXTR. Private interment at Rose Hill Cemetery. A celebration of her life will occur on February 18, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Princess Garden Restaurant.
