We were so sorry to hear of your loss.  The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

To all of Sharon's family and friends,

I am Sharon's sister.  My name is Sherrel.  We were 17 months apart in age, so growing up we had our share of laughs and our share of sibling rivalry.  I loved my sister very much.  Words cannot describe the ache in my heart to see my sister suffer as she did.  I wish you could have known her and seen her as I did growing up.  She was beautiful and that is the way I will always remember her.

At sometime during our adolescent years our grandfather gave each of us kids nicknames.  Sharon's was Gertrude and mine was George.  As the story goes (because we were really too young to remember) when I was old enough to go outside with my big sister Sharon she introduced me to our neighbors.  When asked what my name was she said “George”.  We always had a good chuckle about that.  You'll have to ask Dick what his name was!!!

I also remember when Sharon began to take violin lessons.  She would diligently screech away at trying to force those strings to make a joyful noise.  She was successful about the noise part.  That didn't last very long.  Then she tried learning the Clarinet.  Now that was a little better, it was an improvement over the violin (at least I thought).  I remember it was my job to help her soften up the reeds.  I was all about watching her.

My heart is rejoicing knowing that Sharon accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior two years ago.  I cried tears of joy knowing that when Sharon did decide “no more” that she would spend eternity in heaven with Jesus.

It is only through the blood of Jesus that we are given a robe of righteousness and able to enter the throne room of heaven and spend eternity with him.  Sharon has been completely healed and is in the arms of our loving Savior.  I am convinced that if Sharon could be here today that she would agree with me that accepting Jesus into your heart is the most important decision you can make in your lifetime.

If you have never thought about eternity or what it means to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior then I hope you will take time to pause and consider what Jesus did for us.  He is standing and knocking at the door of your heart, will you let him in?

I share this in remembrance of my sister Sharon and to glorify God and his Kingdom to come.

Whenever we visited she always was such a fun hostess and loved being there. So sorry you all have this sad journey to go through. Lynn, I can't imagine what you and your family are going through. I'm so sorry for your loss.  Your mom always made me feel so welcome at all of your family events and was so sweet. My heart goes out to you, Steve, Cindy, and Lori. Love you, friend!

There are two memories I have of Sharon that are etched in my heart and mind forever.  The first is of her smiling face.  I can't recall ever seeing her when she did not have that beautiful smile.  The other is of Sharon as "Earth Mother".  When her kids were little she was almost obsessed with providing the best, most natural and healthy food for them.  She made most things from scratch and used wholesome ingredients.  If I remember right, she even canned a lot of her own food and baked her own bread.  We often referred to her as "Earth Mother" and she definitely deserved that affectionate title.  Her kids were the most important thing to her and she wanted to provide the best care for them possible.  I hope you can remember some of those good times, too.  I know her passing leaves a big hole in your hearts.  I'm praying for comfort and strength for all of you as you go through this difficult time.

To Lynn and your precious daughter,
Loving our parents and taking care of them the last years of their lives is something we never think of when we are growing up.  However, if we are lucky, we get the privilege of doing just that as they head toward Eternity. So glad you got so much time with your Mom.  We send you love, sympathy and prayers.

My dearest Steve and Nicky,
          I know this is a terrible time as you face the passing of your Mom. No-one can ever fill the shoes of a mother, but I am thankful Nicky will be there to help and comfort you during this time. Steve if there is anything I can do please don't hesitate to call. My prayers continue to be with you and your family during this time.I love you both.
