A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Shirley Lee Laird was reunited with her departed husband Jim on March 6, 2014. She was born in Kansas City, MO on February 18, 1929. She excelled at theater and was named Best Girl Actress at East High School; however, her proudest accomplishments were marrying the love of her life, James Craig Laird and becoming the mother of five children and Grandmere to fifteen grandchildren. She is survived by her children Craig (Jean), David (Melissa), James (Rita), Susan (Tom), and Kathy (Dan); and grandchildren James, Christopher, Elizabeth, Timothy, Megan, Thomas, Matthew, Erin, Karen, Katy, Bridget, Benjamin, David, Madalyn, and Andrew; and a great-granddaughter, Arya.
Visitation will be 9 – 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 11 at St. Thomas
