

Shirley was born in Stansbury, Missouri on January 14, 1933. She lived in Stansbury during her early childhood and then lived in the Kansas City, Missouri area for the rest of her life. She was married to Robert Harris Meuschke until his death in 1965. Together they had three sons - Robert Harris II, Donald Eugene and Joseph Richard. On November 14, 1969, Shirley married Kenneth (Kenny) E. Zieber. They were married for 37 years until his death in 2006.
Shirley worked with her mom, Martha at a dog grooming business they owned together. She later worked for the Hickman Mills School District at Ruskin High School as a cafeteria baker and assistant cafeteria manager from 1967 until her retirement in 1992.
Shirley lived a very simple life. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Raymore, Missouri. She had enjoyed going to the horse races and traveling with Kenny. Most important to her was her family - she always enjoyed being with them.
Shirley is survived by her three sons: Bob Meuschke, Don (Brenda) Meuschke, and Joe (Valerie) Meuschke. She is also survived by her three stepchildren: Linda (Robert) Gingrich, David (Leta) Zieber, and Diana (Tim) Gee. Shirley leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Harris Meuschke, her mother, Martha Small, her brother, Max Williams, her second husband, Kenny Zieber, and her daughter-in-law, Judy Meuschke.
The Celebration of Life for Shirley will be on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 12:00 pm at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1111 West Foxwood Drive, Raymore, Missouri 64083. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64137 or at waysidewaifs.org.
