Sophia Machajewski was born on December 29, 1931, in Poland, she immigrated to the United States in 1951. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. She loved cooking, crocheting and gardening. She was a loving mother, grandma, great grandma, and aunt.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Stella Pypka, husband, Ted Machajewski, sister, Laura (Bruno) Lata, and daughter in law, Barbara Machajewski.
Sophia is survived by her son Jerry of Independence, grand daughter, Katie (Justin) of Lee's Summit, great grandchildren, Emily and Chloe, grandson, Ryan of Blue Springs, and sister, Mary of Chesterfield, MO. Many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
