

Stanley Fanning, 61 of Blue Springs, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at his farm in Richmond. Stan was born on February 1, 1965, in Kansas City to Raymond “Bob” and Reva Fanning. On September 20, 1986, he was married to Terri L. Pritchett. They went on to have two beautiful children Stanley L. Fanning Jr. “Lee” and MaKayla L. Fanning “Kayla”.
Stan proudly worked at Sutherlands with Terri’s brother Brian and that is how he met the love of his life. He went on to work for Builder Squares, building houses, and spent the last 27 years working for the City of Independence. He was expecting to retire from the Water Department come next February. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 25 years. Stan Fanning had the biggest loving heart for all who knew him. He was a dad to many and joked with everyone, especially his granddaughters who he adored. He was his wife’s hero, best friend, and her protector and will forever be missed.
Survivors in addition to his wife of 39 years, Terri, include Son, Stanley L. Fanning Jr. “Lee” (Katie) along with newest granddaughter expected later this year; daughter MaKayla Rimmer and (John) along with two granddaughters Faithlyn(10) and Brooklyn (7) Rimmer; Mother Reva Fanning; Sister, Christine (Timothy) Kirkpatrick; Mother-in-law, Karen Pritchett; Sister in law, Sherry Fanning; and numerous nieces and nephews. Stan was preceded in death by his Father, Raymond “Bob” Fanning; Brother, Raymond Fanning Jr; Father-in-law, Jerald L. Pritchett; and Brother-in-law, Brian K. Pritchett.
