Terribly Sorry to hear about Steve and sorry I didn't find out till now..This entire family pretty much adopted me back in the day.Warren  and Rosemary treated me like I was a member of the family for a good portion of my childhood.. so many great memories of the cabin at Pomme and the Raytown House as well as Grandview..Moved around a lot and lost touch over the years..Sorry for your loss

My heart broke when I heard the news. Steve, you are such a wonderful spirit. You are truly an angel in Heaven as you were on earth. The good always die young and they definitely make marks on this land. You stand out EVEN when sitting down. Till we meet again my friend, you will be missed. Steve, you will be deeply missed.  I loved getting to know you.  You always made me feel welcome, like I was part of the group and not just a tag along.  I will miss your smile, your loving heart and sweet nature.  To Gary and the rest of Steve's family I can only image the loss you are feeling.  Steve was one of those people who brings out the good in others.  The only comfort is knowing that Steve is now at peace in heaven with the Lord and all his loved ones there with him!

I really miss my "work husband" Steve from our time at Disney (DDM). Steve was the first person to actually come up and talk to me when I started and our friendship took off from there. We were constantly laughing. He was such an open and honest person who cared so much about others. I love you so much Steve and am going to miss you terribly. My thoughts, prayers and heart go out to Gary and all of Steve's family and friends. What an amazing man and now an amazing angel in the arms of our Lord!!!

My soul mate and very best friend, I love you, Bryan loves you, and we will miss you so very much.  I am so grateful for the trips we all made to WDW, for our numerous "ghost hunting" trips (I hope there is a way for you to contact me, and just for the many, many laughs we have had over these years.  Bry & I will always remember you and love you more than you could have possibly known, even tho I have told you that on many occasions!

I worked with Steve at Disney in OP he was a pleasure to work with and I will miss him.

Rest in peace Steve. You were my childhood buddy. So many good & silly memories. We would take turns stealing cigarettes from our moms so we could have a few puffs before the bus came. Dancing to Saturday Night Fever in your basement. Great times at the lake. You were always such a kind, sweet person. I'm grateful we were able to hang out at the last reunion. Thank you for being such a big part of my wonderful childhood. I will always love you.

I worked with Steve at Farmers.  Though we communicated virtually almost daily, I did have an opportunity to meet Steve in person; once in Oregon and once in Austin. We had a good time; he had such a great sense of humor.   Before Steve went on his Leave of Absence he trained me on his tasks.  People continuously asked me how he was doing which is a testament of the impact he had, and how much he was cared for.  Thank you for your friendship Steve.  You were a bright spot in my day.

My sympathies to all of Steve's family and friends! I worked with him at DDM (disney) and he was always cheerful and happy when I saw him! RIP Steve! You were one great guy! God Bless all of his family and friends!

To Steve's Family,  He will surely be missed but I'm glad his batttle is over and he is in a much better place.  I remember the first time I met him-on his 5th birthday at Grandma & Grandpa Mendenhall's house.  He was a good kid then and remained a loving, caring, compassionate man throughout. I've known Steve since grade school. Lived on the same block. We had a lot of good times. His battle is over and he is at peace! Reunited with his parents and a couple of his childhood friends. Steve's passing has reminded me of his friends Joe McKenna and George Crater. The are together again. That's so cool! Rest in peace my friend! Thoughts and prayers to Gary and Steve's family.

To all of Steve's family - Steve always had a smile on his face and I enjoyed sharing our family genealogy with him.The tributes on Facebook to him have been so special just like him.  He will be missed by all.  Love ya, Cousin
